Who We Are

who we areWe are a Christ-Centered Church
While some churches are moving away from the importance of the Bible and the centrality of Jesus, EVERYTHING we do is based on these two defining core values. What we do as a church can be summarized in these four principles:

Win the Lost/Disciple the Found/Heal the Broken/Send the Whole

Win the Lost - We can not love God without longing to reach people with the message of hope and salvation through our Savior Jesus Christ.

Heal the Broken - Everywhere Jesus walked, He healed people. Likewise, we believe the church should be a house of healing.

Disciple the Found - The Bible mandates that we, then, intentionally make disciples of Jesus, not just gather believers.

Send the Whole - There is nothing more energizing than people walking into what God created them to do for His glory. We believe that every member is a minister.

We are a Diverse Church
Many people con not seem to put a handle on our church. Being in a military community, we have people from all over the country in our church, including those raised in middle Georgia. We are multi-racial, multi-denominational, and multi-generational. We are a young church with children, youth, and young families everywhere. We are, most definitely, a reflection of our community.

We are a Spirit Led Church
The New Testament church was founded on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, was given and came up to those gathered in the upper room with the purpose to empower the church to change the world. The Holy Spirit impacts our corporate worship, the sermons of our pastor, the direction of our leaders, and the experiences in our gatherings.

We are a House of Healing
Our communities and our churches are filled with wounded and broken people. This church is a safe place to come as you are, especially if you have a relational or "church" hurt. You will not be judged, but rather surrounded and supported by others who have found healing in this house. Many pastors and church leaders have limped wounded into our fellowship and found a place to be covered, restored, and renewed. This is a safe place.

We are a Relational Church
Many people have said, "This is my home". Why is this important to us? We are a military community, and many in our church are separated by great distances from their "real" families. They need a support system. They need a family. We also recognize this is true of our culture as more and more people find themselves disconnected. Maybe this is the family you have been looking for in your life.

We are a Place to Grow Up
You will consistently be challenged to learn more, but primarily to grow up and grow into all God has created you to become. This starts with surrender, but matures through obedience. We believe God has called us to be passionate Christ Followers. Many have become bored in church with "surface" Christianity. If you have ever thought, "There has to be MORE than this to my faith.", then this might be the place for you.

What We Believe

what we believe 2About God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

About the Holy Spirit
All believers receive the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God) When they receive Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives at salvation. However, believers are also entitled to and should expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit. We believe this was the normal experience of Christ followers in the early Christian Church. With the Holy Spirit baptism comes power for life and service.

About the Bible
The Bible is God's Word to us. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote it. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspired it, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

About Salvation
Salvation is God's free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. When we repent of sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and turn from our self-ruled life, we are saved.

About Divine Healing
All through the centuries since the time of the apostles, there have been individuals who had faith in God for the healing of their bodies, and where New Testament faith has been found, miracles have taken place. We believe Jesus paid the price for divine healing through the atonement, and with His stripes, we are healed.

About the Blessed Hope
The blessed hope of the church is the rapture or the "catching away" of the church. The Bible teaches that at the time of the rapture of the church, living Christians will be changed; those whom have died in Christ will be raised in glory; all Christians will forever be with the Lord, and we should be comforted with this truth.

About Eternity
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

We are affiliated with the General Council of the Assemblies of God. Currently, the Assemblies of God USA and Assemblies of God organizations around the world make up the world's largest Pentecostal fellowship with some 51 million adherents. What You Can Expect

Christ chapelWhen you drive on campus, we have two buildings. Our main sanctuary is the building in the rear of our property. As you enter our foyer, there will be a coffee house on the left serving morning refreshments. If you have children age 5 and under, there will be a volunteer to help you settle your little ones into our nursery. Our elementary age ministry (KidsZone) takes place in our front building.

As you enter our sanctuary, you will notice people dressed in everyday clothes enjoying one another. Our modern music ministry kicks off each service with a time of celebration and intimate worship that is absolutely moving. Praise and worship usually lasts about 20 minutes, but room is given for the Holy Spirit to lead the service. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory. There will be a 5-minute "relational" break for us to introduce ourselves to you, but also for us to catch up with our friends. A few announcements will be made and then our pastor brings the message. Pastor Andy is a passionate communicator, but is down to earth and also very transparent. You can preview his sermons on our video page. After he preaches, there will be an opportunity to respond to what was shared. We believe as you get in your car to leave our campus, you will know if this might be your next church home. If it is not, our city is filled with amazing churches and wonderful pastors. We believe God will direct your path.
